What is Smaart RTA?

Professional Real Time Audio Analysis in the palm of your hand. Smaart RTA for iOS brings professional audio analysis from Rational Acoustics desktop acoustic test and measurement software to the iPhone and iPad mobile platforms. 

What is the difference between Smaart RTA and Smaart RTA Pro?

Smaart RTA and Smaart RTA Pro are two subscription levels for the same iOS application.

Smaart RTA Includes:

  • Temporal Averaging: Fast, Slow, None

Is Smaart RTA a remote for Smaart Desktop?

No, Smaart RTA has no remote capabilities related to Smaart Desktop applications. All calculations for Smaart RTA are made on the device. However, the data formats for target curves, mic correction curves, and RTA traces are the same across platforms.

Is Smaart RTA available for android?

No, Smaart RTA is only available on Apple iOS and iPad OS. 

What are the system requirements for Smaart RTA?

Smaart RTA is compatible with any iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch that supports iOS (and iPadOS) 15.0 or later. 

Can I tune my sound system(s) with Smaart RTA?

You could, but Smaart RTA does not have the typical tool for the job: the transfer function measurement.

Does Smaart RTA have single channel measurements?

Yes. Smaart RTA has RTA, Spectrograph, and SPL measurements. 

Does Smaart RTA have dual-channel measurements, like the Smaart transfer function? 

No. Smaart RTA only has single channel measurements. 

Can I time-align my sound systems with Smaart RTA? 

No. Smaart RTA is time-blind as it is a single channel measurement and does not include the dual channel transfer function measurement views found in Smaart Suite, RT, or LE, that are required for time alignment.

Can I meter SPL with Smaart RTA?

Yes. Smaart RTA has one SPL meter. 

Can I log SPL over time with Smaart RTA? 

No. Smaart RTA does not have logging capability.

Can I Calibrate for SPL with Smaart RTA? 

Smaart RTA Pro users are able to calibrate both internal and external microphones.
