Smaart RTA License Options and Pricing FAQ


All Smaart RTA and Smaart RTA Pro licensing is billed through Apple on iOS and the Google Play Store on Android. Rational Acoustics does not bill you nor can we offer you a refund. For refund requests, please contact either Apple or Google through their corresponding app store.


As of the 1.5 update, we have added a Lifetime purchase in addition to the existing Monthly and Annual subscription options.


Q) How much does Smaart RTA cost?

Q) How can I cancel my Subscription?


You can make changes to your Smaart RTA subscription in two places:


Outside of the App (Both iOS and Android)

Your subscription can be changed or canceled from within your iCloud subscription settings (iOS) or Google Play Store subscription settings (Android). This is the only way to make changes to your subscription on Android.


Within the App (iOS only)

In the Smaart RTA app, navigate to Settings > Subscription Settings. Here you can view and manage your current subscription plan. To select a different plan, simply tap the subscription option you would like to change to. To cancel your subscription, use the "cancel" button at the bottom of the window.


Outside of the App (Both iOS and Android)

Your subscription can also be changed or canceled from within your iCloud subscription settings for iOS and from within your Google Play Store subscription settings for Android.

 


Q) What happens if I cancel my Subscription?


When a Smaart RTA or Smaart RTA Pro subscription is canceled, you will continue to have access to the app until the end of your current subscription period. This means that monthly subscribers will continue to have Pro access until the end of their subscription month, while annual users will have access until the end of their subscription year. 


At the end of your subscription period, the subscription will not renew and you will need to lose access to Smaart RTA until you begin a new subscription.


Q) Can I upgrade/downgrade Smaart RTA after I've purchased a subscription?


A) Yes, monthly or annual subscriptions can be changed from the Subscription Settings menu within Smaart RTA (both base and Pro). You will always be able to see the details of your current subscription and make any changes from within the app.



Q) What happens when I change my subscription tier? Will I be refunded if I go from Smaart RTA Pro to Smaart RTA?


A) This will depend on the path your license is taking:

  • When UPGRADING from Smaart RTA to Smaart RTA Pro, you will be immediately upgraded and receive a refund of the prorated amount of your original subscription.

  • When DOWNGRADING from Smaart RTA Pro to Smaart RTA, the Smaart RTA Pro subscription will continue until the next renewal date. Then, the subscription is renewed at Smaart RTA's lower price and feature level.

  • When CROSSGRADING from a monthly license to annual one (or the inverse) of the same feature level, the new Subscription pricing goes into effect at the next renewal date.


Q) Can I upgrade a Lifetime license of Smaart RTA to Smaart RTA Pro and apply the money I spent on Smaart RTA to the purchase?


A) Unfortunately, neither Apple nor Google do not allow for the prorating or refunding of past Subscription licenses to a Lifetime purchase. Your best bet is to contact Apple or Google (depending on your device's OS) for a refund and then purchase the Lifetime option. Apple has a 14 day limit on refund requests after a successful purchase and Google has a 2 day (48 hour) limit.



Q) Can I purchase a Lifetime license of Smaart RTA and then subscribe to Smaart RTA Pro?


A) Yes, Smaart RTA supports dual-license purchases. You may purchase a Lifetime of Smaart RTA and simultaneously subscribe to a month or a year of Smaart RTA Pro:



When a dual-purchase is detected, you will see in Subscription Settings that you have both a Lifetime license and and a currently active subscription. Smaart RTA will notify you to cancel your subscription to avoid unwanted dual-billing, should you forget to cancel.
