"Localization File Not Found" message when trying to run an Impulse Response measurement
Sometime when attempting to run an Impulse Response measurement within Smaart, the following message may appear:
This error is actually trying to display another message, but due to a corruption (typically within the configuration file) the text containing that error message cannot be found.
To resolve this, please restore to a default configuration through one of two ways:
- Within Smaart, go to Config > Manage Configurations and select "Restore Defaults"
- If you cannot get into Smaart for any reason, navigate to the following location and delete the entire "Config" folder:
- Windows * - C:\Users\<username>\Documents\Smaart Suite
- macOS - (MachintoshHD)/Users/<username>/Documents/Smaart Suite
When reopening Smaart, you will be asked to reconfigure your IO and measurement configs. From there, please try running the IR measurement again.
If issues persist, please also uninstall then reinstall Smaart. A fresh copy of the installer can be obtained from the https://my.rationalacoustics.com account your license has been registered to (under the Downloads tab). Please note that uninstall Smaart will not affect the activation, so leave Smaart activated.
If the error continues to appear, please contact support@rationalacoustics.com and mention the operating system version that Smaart is running on.
* If you cannot find the Smaart Suite folder in the expected location on a Windows machine, please check out this article.
