What is Average Time Reference?

As of v1.1, Smaart Data Modeler features an Average Time Reference mechanism to average data traces. This appears in the form of a delay value, visible by right-clicking an average trace and selecting "trace info".

When a static average of two traces is created, the MTR (Measurement Time Reference) values are averaged together, creating the Average Time Reference. The addition of this new piece of trace info means that Smaart Data Modeler is now able to perform Summation on average traces. Smaart Suite/RT/LE will have this feature starting in v9.6.

Note that this piece of info isn't added retroactively to averages created in earlier editions of Smaart Suite/RT/LE and Data Modeler. If you have traces captured prior to these versions, you will have to average them in a version of Smaart Suite/RT/LE/Data Modeler that has this feature in order for the average to have an ATR value stored in its trace info.
