A Guide to Smaart Plot Zooms
Smaart features a robust range of zoom settings in order to adjust how users view data.
This guide will detail the different ways you can navigate Smaart's plots. These hotkeys/controls can be used on any plot within Smaart, even the IR plot within the Advanced Delay Finder menu.
While using your keyboard's arrow keys will move the plot around, it won't change the proportions of the plot.
In Smaart, you have the ability to zoom in and out on either the Y-Axis individually or on both axes together.
If you ever find yourself zoomed in to far or in an undesirable view of the plot, you can restore the plot to its default view by clicking in the margins around the plot, outlined in red here:
Zooming Manually
You can zoom in/out on the Y-Axis by using the [=] and [-] keys. To zoom in on the entire plot, you can use [Ctrl/Cmd] + [=] to zoom in and [Ctrl/Cmd] + [-] to zoom out.
Zoom View Presets
In addition to the manual zoom controls, Smaart also has 4 preset views for plot zooms. These can be cycled through using [Alt/Opt] and [1] through [4].
[Alt/Opt] + [1] through [5] will change the plot to Zoom 1-4 and Zoom Default. Unless edited within the options menu, Zoom 1 is the same as the default.
Here is an example of how each of these look on an RTA plot:
Zoom 1 - [Alt/Opt] + [1] OR [Alt/Opt] + [5]
Zoom 2 - [Alt/Opt] + [2]
Zoom 3 - [Alt/Opt] + [3]
Zoom 4 - [Alt/Opt] + [4]
Zoom Options Submenu
Additionally, [Alt/Opt] + [Z] will open the Plot Options tab of the Preferences menu. Here you can edit the axis ranges for each zoom view. Once you make your desired changes, make sure you click 'Apply' to see them take effect.
